November is the month we think of as Thanksgiving month.  We are thankful for many things.  We are thankful for the five group homes in the Muskegon Area.  They are homes under the auspices of LSSM (Lutheran Social Services of Michigan). These are homes for special needs people. Ducey, Hansen, Woodridge, Mcintyre, and Brooks. LSSM also has HUD Housing and Child and Family Services under their care.  We at Our Savior’s support them with supplies that are needed: Personal Hygiene items, Kitchen, Bedroom, Cleaning and office supplies. Also gift cards to major Department stores, and Bingo prizes.

Instead of the 5th Sunday contributions, this year we will be collecting items all of the Sundays in November. They are November 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th.  On November 8th we will have people from LSSM at our Sunday service explaining their programs and having the coffee hour.  It will be great to get to know them and learn more about LSSM.
